Human remains were found in Mani

A macabre discovery signaled an alarm in the Messinian Mani and opened once again the door of investigation for unlucky Marios.

Villagers identified human bones on Friday 1 September, scattered in an old chapel in Lagada. The chapel dedicated to Saint Spyridon has not been operating for fifty years and has no door. It is on a slope and the path leading to it is rough.

The witnesses informed the authorities and directly men of the  Kardamili Police arrived at the point and circled the bones to be examined by  Criminological Laboratories.

Marios Papageorgiou family  was informed  for the  findings . The relatives all these years have not stopped  looking for the “grave” of the unfortunate young man in the wider region of the Peloponnese. Every testimony that reaches “Tunnel” for  the murdered optician raises the hopes of locating his body.
