After about five hours , the Mixed Court of Samos decided on Friday 1 September to stop the trial of the murder of the young musician in Santorini.
The trial will continue on Monday September 11 , with key witness testimonies who were not presented to court citing health reasons.
The tragic mother of the victim, Maria Damaskinos, was first called to testify. When she stepped out of the pitch she was clearly overwhelmed without being able to stand on her feet or talk.
Then a young girl was examined from the friendly environment of the accused and the victim. When she was asked if she knew if someone left the Takis cigarette pack on the rocks of Caldera answered negatively . She also said she was not a couple with the accused and that she did not feel impressed when the accused shortly before Takis disappeared asked her to take a photo of them together.
Throughout the examination of the martyrs, the “friend” of the unlucky young man, accused of his manslaughter intentionally in a calm mental state, seemed particularly comfortable and was smiling .
At the end of the trial, the victim’s family lawyer, Alexis Kougias, welcomed the outcome of the hearing.
The murder of Takis Vazakopoulos was revealed in Santorini three months after his disappearance on August 7, 2014.
