Overturning life for mother and son after 44 years

Anna Niaounaki 67 years old, came to the show in order to look for her missing , for 44 years, son. She only knew his first name: Stavros. Somebody took away her little boy a while after she gave birth to him. No one expected that life would smile at her and reveal a big shock and a touching story. A family from Koridallos area heard her story. It was this family which held the key to unlock her story of life. Varvara Kalogera became Stavros’ second mother till he was nine years old. Mrs Kalogera was working as an underwriting mother of Social Welfare Institution for Kids. Suddenly one day some people from the institution came to take Stavros for a walk. Then he disappeared. A social worker told Mrs Kalogera that the child was given for adoption somewhere in Thessaloniki. His real mother went with ‘Tunnel’ at the house of Mrs Kalogera and the moments that followed cannot be described. When the mother saw the pictures of her son, she started talking to the lifeless paper thar she had placed on her heart. The great irony of fate: Stavros’ biological mother used to visit that neighborhood very often, when she was visiting her relatives. The mother and the woman that raised Stavros came together to ‘Tunnel’, searching for the missing boy. Stavros was found. At the beginning, he didn’t want to contact his mother. After a while he talked with her, but finally he refused to accept her.
