On the morning of Monday 17 September, he was taken to the investigator in Rethymno after the deadline he had taken to apologize.
He said that on the day of Tonia Zoeva’s disappearance on May 11, they had a quarell, he slapped her but left her alive.
He also said he wanted himself to know what had happened to the 38-year-old woman. He stressed that his family and lawyer are looking for CCTV material to prove he brought her to Rethymnon.
Together, the prosecutor and the investigating magistrate, who were not convinced by his words, considered him a custodian.
After many months of investigations, the police “tied in” all the elements that led to his arrest on Thursday 13 September.
In his house and inside his car examined by the forensic laboratories, blood stains that belonged to the unfortunate woman were found. Her body has not yet been detected.
“Tunnel” had revealed his suspicious role from the very first moment with important testimonies which brought to light.
