The 74 year- old man was living in a hospital at Pittsburgh of Pennsylvania. He couldn’t remember or talk. When he saw his daughter Despina, who travelled in the USA with ‘Tunnel’, his memory returned and he started to cry. When he saw the pictures of his mother, he was shocked. He faltered out her name and reminded to everyone that this woman was his mother. Despina Triantafilou was informed 40 years ago, that her only son died. She refused to eat and drink and died after 40 days. The only one that never believed that he was dead was the oldest of his children, Despina. She was living with the blurred memory of a man who used to visit her at the orphanage she grew up. Once he brought her as a gift a doll and she never forgot that. Some years later she had an accident and temporarily she lost her memory. When she recovered, she started a personal research and she detected traces of her father in the USA. With the considerable help of the Greek community in Pittsburgh, the lonely man who till then had no memory and voice, found his identity. The ‘dead’ man was found alive with American citizenship and after a while he died because of serious health problems.
