Everything came upside down with Angeliki’s investigation in Chania

Viewers watching the investigation of Angeliki Nikolouli at the place where Evangelia Lytinaki vanished were mobilized and the call center of the Tunnel got on fire!

She went to the “heart” of the mystery beach … In the deserted house with the heavy padlocks that lives the same woman and her two adult children. This is the plot that constitutes the apple of the contention.

The members of the divided family were found from the very first moment of the disappearance under the microscope of the Authorities, which thoroughly investigated their houses, their cars and their fields.

Angeliki Nikolouli’s research focused on where a rainy afternoon Evangelia Lytinaki disappeared a rainy afternoon on Sunday, December 9, 2018.  In the building block of the mystery, in Agia Marina, Chania.
The reporter was found at the house of the  missing woman’s sister who is between the street and the beach and has security cameras around. The camera on the side of the street is the one who recorded Evangelia the fateful afternoon. Her sister, Eleni, explained that the young man who is seen on the video with his motorbike while the missing woman was walking with bags in her hands  is her son.

“We had  differences but it does not matter, she my sister is, my blood … Those who know,  I ask them to come forward. Where is this woman? ” she wondered.
She said that if she had heard something worrying in the afternoon that Evangelia was lost, she would definitely go out to see what was happening. She stressed that the missing woman was reacting to the sale of their coastal plot. In fact, she had phoned a lawyer and told him she refused to sign because she believed he was offering her less money than the real value. According to Evangelia, the value of the plot was 850 thousand euros.

The reporter continued the field investigation in the neighborhood of mystery. None of the people knew anything about the fate of Evangelia Lytinaki. No one saw what happened the fateful afternoon.
Angeliki Nikolouli, with a penetrating eye, searched carefully the side of the beach where are the houses of the missing woman’s relatives and the controversial plot that caused the quarrel between the four siblings.
There are several points in the area that could hide incriminating elements without being perceived.

Among the many scenarios that have been heard about the disappearance of Evangelia Lytnaki, there was also the animal pen, where her sister Sophia has her animals  on the mountain of the area.
Angeliki Nikolouli went to the place along with the owner. She told the reporter that she alone, having no good relations with her siblings, searched for Evangelia all over the surrounding desert area.
“The police came here and dug pits into the manure and elsewhere. Everything was searched, everywhere … There was nothing here to get my attention, “she said.
In a related question from the reporter whether anyone could enter her field, she replied:
“There was no way because my dogs would eat them alive!”

Together with Angeliki Nikolouli, they went to the neighboring field with olive trees belonging to the missing Evangelia. She claimed that she did not see any suspicious sign there.

She told her she was regretted that she had come from Athens where she lived before and invested in a beach bar that fell out. This particular business was housed in the same spot  where it is currently inhabited.
She did not rule out the possibility that Evangelia might have been the victim of a man who might have put her into a car and vanished  her.  When she met her brother on the street and he told her that  Evangelia was lost and she feared that a foreigner  had killed her.
“I told him” go and search for her. Will we be interested in sales now? ” I was upset. I did not care about the sales at that moment. Anyway, three years now I live like cursed … The other day, I asked him again and asked him if he had found her. “She’s dead,” he replied. One day and she died, I wondered. How; I cannot believe she is dead … “emphasized.

“Our aunt din not come here”

When Tunnel first dealt with the odious disappearance of Evangelia Lytinaki, a special reference was made to her sister Sophia but also to her two children living in isolation at the beachfront.
Evangelia, due to the financial difficulties they faced, used to leave bags with food on the railing of a sea front door…
The two young people when they realized Angeliki Nikolouli entered the house where they chose to live isolated came out to talk to her.
The niece of the missing woman, said that on the day of her disappearence their aunt did not visited them  nor leave them food. She claimed that in the past few years they did not maintain the same warm relationships as before, and that Evangelia was doing better with her brother.

“She was bringing food to my uncle. I saw your show and I thought my uncle has  two cars. Why he did not go to get her from New Chora as she was carrying so many bags? I believe she either entered the car of an unknown person or left my uncle’s house on the side of the beach and went along. ”
She said they no longer have many friends and live away from the world.
“We were cut off by the people. We once had a business with a broad social circle. But everything changed, and the friends left. ”
When the journalist urged her to stop living in isolation, she told her:
“I’m trying to control depression, but everyone has their own time until they get together. I have been working for 18 years in this business and within a moment I found myself in nothing … How can you easily trust people? Everyone is false. The only solution for us is to sell this house that has been ravaged and to go elsewhere … In a few days we would end  the deal  and everything  changed… “.
As Angeliki Nikolouli said, the sibling beneficiaries had visited the buyer-broker, her uncle had guaranteed for the missing Evangelia and had arranged the sums that each of them would get.
“Police thought us suspicious. They came here, searched, dug … The same happened next to my relatives  houses … “she told the reporter.

Aggeliki Nikolouli also spoke with the nephew of the missing woman.
“I’m not mentally ill as they told. I’m just a character closed to myself, I do not have friends, I do not drink, I do not smoke … When I was working and I had money, things were different. I wanted to start again after  selling  the property so I can open a business somewhere else … The environment here and the constant family friction have tired me all these years .. It’s a load that does not let you think, make a family or create … “he told her.
He repeated that the missing person did not visited them  the day she was lost.
“Something weird happened to her… Maybe it was related to some transaction. I think it was something organized … “.

The reenactment of Angeliki

Tunnel’s camera recorded Angeliki Nikolouli following exactly the same route as the missing woman to compare the time. She started walking from the downhill bus stop as far as the camera and from there to the entrance of her brother’s house. Then she walked backwards just as the missing woman did.

The representation confirmed that Evangelia would not have time to leave the first bags in her brother’s house, talk to him and then come back to get the rest in a minute! On the way, she met Evangelia’s brother, who is allegedly the last person who saw  her alive.
“Angeliki evertything came upside down ..” he told her.
Headed to his house, he spoke to her about the weakness of the missing woman for  his son, who had stood as if she was his real mother. He claimed that Evangelia initially left the stroller she had with her at the bus stop  and returned again to get it. She left two bags of various things and coconut milk that he did not need and gave her back.

He said she took her photo the first time he went to her apartment to look for her, escorted by police. When they entered the apartment, they found it neat, the bedroom light turned on, the window shutters were open, and on the floor there was a bag with  fruit. The door was closed but not locked.
“I think she was” wiped out” for this plot … My share would be donated to a foundation … Find Evangelia and I will give a reward” he told the reporter.

How could I kille her?

When a few days passed and Evangelia did not communicate, father and son went with the police officers to look for her in her apartment. They tried with the second keys of the nephew to open the front door of the apartment building, but they had changed the lock. That’s why they asked  a neighbor  to open the door.

The second time, as her brother said, went on their own to see if her stroller was on the veranda of her apartment.
“We found a red stroller. Now ifs he had two, I do not know … “, he said.
As he told the reporter, he delayed officially declaring extinction to the authorities because he did not know the process.
He said Evangelia called him almost every night to see what he did as his son was abroad.
During his conversation with the reporter, he broke into sobs.
” How I could not harm my sister, who was like my child’s mother? Could I have killed her?” he said crying and continued:
“She used to come here but she was staying for a long time.. She was going  to the pen with the animals of our other sister and helped her, she had even paid her  bills… ”

“We were impressed that they were late to inform the police …”
It was dark when Angeliki Nikolouli went to the apartment building where Evaggelia Lytinaki lived in Nea Chora, Chania, in order to talk to her neighbors.
Residents and landlords were surprised when they hit the door and saw her in front of them, but willingly answered her questions to help with the investigation.
A tenant told the reporter that Evangelia used to double-lock both the door of her apartment and the front door of the block of flats. Indeed, she had  such an obsession and  many times made it difficult for tenants when they were to carry various things. When they learned that her door was unlocked, it made a great impression on them.

According to other neighbors of Evangelia, her brother, on December 15, hit their bell to seek for her. He could not open with the key that had for the front door, because the lock had been changed. When he explained to them that Evangelia had disappeared, they wondered why he had not gone earlier to declare it to the Authorities.
On December 17th, her missing brother went to the block of flats with police escorts to see if anything had happened in her house.
