Only one son of the main accused appeared at the court…

Without the main accuser and the presence of only one of his two sons for whom had been ordered to testify, the trial of Marios Papageorgiou continued.

On the morning of Wednesday, November 21, a policeman searched the son of the alleged mastermind  in the extravagant kidnapping and murder case of the unfortunate young man to accompany him to the Joint Athens Court of Appeal, but he did not find him.

The defense attorney reported he did not appear to testify, as he was promoted a few months ago to demobilize because of his inability to serve in a police office or on the street.

The civil action considered this movement as an attitude and pointed out that this demobilization was not evidenced by any document submitted to the court.

The President called his brother with whom they are living together to explain  what exactly is happening. He relied on sensitive personal data and did not answer what is the problem that his brother is facing.

Eventually the Seat ordered his violent rendition before the court within the day. The witness was searched again in his house and in another address without result. The court also requested that the police officer who signed the undated certificate of demobilization to be called and testify.

When  the son of the principal accused who appeared in court, was asked by the Chair what his thoughts were about what might have happened in the days when Marios disappeared, he replied that he did not remember. The chairman, addressing him, said, “Watch out why you’re not convincing. It’s also perjury when one does not remember.”

Then one of the judges read extracts from the “Police Officer’s Oracle” and asked him: “You in your capacity as a policeman, what did you do for the citizen Marios Papageorgiou?”

“I did not do something because his mother did not want it,” was the witness’s response.

Shortly before completing his testimony, Panayiotis Koureleas, one of the lawyers in the civil action, received a threatening text message on his cell phone from an unknown number, which said:

“We wish you happy name day, as long you remain silent …”. The content of the text message was filed in the documents of the trial.

Last Thursday, on the 15th of the month,  judges of the Mixed Court of Appeal were not convinced by the filing of another key witness, for whom he was also ordered to appear.

During his testimony, he fell into a lot of contradictions, resulting in being arrested for perjury, brought to the Prosecutor and referred to a regular trial. Fron his testimony emerged that new people are related to the caseand would be called to question.

Relatives and friends of unlucky Marios, as well as ordinary citizens who want to express their sympathy to his troubled mother, were gathered outside the courts, holding pictures and banners in their hands, saying: “Murderers where is Marios? “.

The trial was interrupted at noon and will continue on Thursday, 22 November.
