The Misdemeanors council of Agrinio by decree decided to prosecution for manslaughter with intent to calm mental state, against a person from the close enviroment of Nikos Mentzos. Initially, the Prosecutor and Investigator disagreed with the prosecution, but the council finally resolved the disagreement and voted in favor of the first.
This person was asked to apologize and was released without any restrictive conditions.
It is expected to be brought to trial by the competent Prosecutor of Appeals to whom the case will be transmitted when the relevant referral order is drafted.
Nikos Mentzos 46 year old, father of a child, was found charred in his car on Good Thursday, April 21, 2011, in the position Roupakia Agrinio in a field of his property. Authorities initially spoke of suicide or accident. Siblings and parents of the unfortunate teacher managed despite initial mistakes of the authorities to block the version of the accident or suicide and consolidate with experts, a murder.
