Tonia (Anthonina) Zoveva, 38, of Bulgarian origin, was lost under strange conditions on Friday evening, May 11.
The research of Tunnel revealed the suspicious role of two men, a Greek and a Syrian, with whom they were closely linked.
Her relatives, as well as Tonia’s minor daughter who lives abroad, are in constant contact with the show and the authorities to learn something about her fate.
The young mother, who disappeared on the afternoon of May 11th went to swim with a girlfriend. There she met the Greek who hosted her in the village of Houmeri, Rethymno, and they left together to go to his house.
Her friends claimed she asked him to take her to Rethymno to go the house of a Syrian with whom she had previously been in a relationship.
“They know the truth about my sister …”
The relatives of the missing woman are upset and they are trying from abroad to learn something about her fate.
Tunnel contacted her sister Milena.
Last time she spoke with her at her birthday on April 30th.
She said that Tonia had gone to Cyprus to find a job, but in April she returned to Crete. Tonia had told her about her Syrian friend and called him a troubled and suspicious person.
As she said, this man in the past sent alarm messages to their family. Tonia had told them to ignore him. A few days ago he began to send similar messages to them. He asked them if they had spoken to her, because he could not communicate with her.
“The police should check the two men who were related to my sister. Investigate if all they claim is valid. The Greek who claims to have asked him to take her to the city of Rethymno, says the truth? What exactly happened? Also from where the Syrian learn that she was lost and submitted a declaration of extinction? What is the relationship between them? ” her sister asked.
“He threw her clothes in the garbage…”
Tunnel contacted a friend of the missing person who was with her a few hours before she was lost.
She met her at noon on Friday 11 May at a café and told her she would go with another girlfriend for a swim on a nearby beach.
Later she learned that Tonia went to a bar with her Greek friend, they had a drink and left with his car.
She described the relationship between Tonia and the Greek as complicated and gave Tunnel details about her ex-boyfriend of Syrian descent, who met in Rethymnon . He was abusing her, stole her money and cell phones, while hiding her personal documents, for fear of leaving abroad.
The Greek told Tonia’s girlfriends that on the same Friday night she was lost, he transferred her to Rethymnon to meet her Syrian friend.
She also said they had a quarrel with Tonia, that she picked up some clothes and told him to throw the rest in the rubbish.
“He told me that he had taken her to Rethymno, and gave her ten euros for a taxi. Did she get a taxi? Where did she go; I have no idea no phone call or nothing since then … “she stressed.
The role of the two men in Thonia’s thriller …
Tunnel found two “key” – witnesses which, according to testimonies, were closely related to Tonia.
The two men had completely different reactions when they were informed by the reporter that the relatives asked to investigate her disappearance.
The first did not want to talk at all.
The second claimed he had met her for the last time about two weeks before she was lost.
She stayed in his house for two days and then told him that he would go to another friend of hers whom she claimed would be married. One day before disappearing, on Thursday, May 10, they spoke on the phone.
“Then I tried to call her many times and she did not answer it. He may have left outside of Greece because she was having problems with this man. She said he was not well in his mind and I’m afraid because on Friday, May 11, she was with him. ”
In a related question from the reporter he replied that Tonia’s friend’s claimed he brought her to Rethymno to meet him.
He argued that if Tonia was in Rethymno, he would contact him to stay at his house, something that did not happen.
“My two friends disappeared …”
Her shock was great when a few days after Dessy’s disappearance in the fourth month of her pregnancy, her other girlfriend was lost.
A few hours before they swam with Tonia at Missiria beach and then ate at a tavern. There they met the Greek friend of the missing person.
Two days later he tried to communicate with Tonia but in vain. She began to worry and her fears were confirmed when her daughter, who lives abroad, called her. The little one who was very tied to her mother spoke every day with her on the phone and was worried because she could not find her. Both Tonia’s cellphones were deactivated.
Then she decided to call her Greek friend to ask if she knew where she is. He replied drunk that he had drove her down from the village of Houmeri where they stayed to Rethymnon on Friday night and that she left her cell phones at home. The next day, he reassured her that Tonia would appear, not be anxious, and turned off the phone without any further explanation.
