The Bulgarian “friend” of the young musician who had confessed to his assassination but then recalled, appeared in the court particularly calm. He answered the questions in absolute calm, without showing any worry about the outcome of the trial.
In his apology, he claimed he had last seen Takis on August 5, 2014, two days before his disappearance.
Although testimony reports that he was seen with Takis on August 7 with his motorbike in a central spot on the island, he told the court that he did not remember if he was driving his car or his motorbike that day.
In related questions he replied that he had went only once with Takis in the dump of the island, long before he disappeared.
He argued that the police officers, when they asked him to testify for the case, threatened him with a gun and were strongly psychological and physical violent against him. They then forced him to sign documents that had been prepared before, and in this way they extracted his original confession.
He admitted that he had a close relationship with Vazakopoulos but throughout his apology he had no words of compassion about the victim or his family.
The trial will continue with the prosecutor’s proposal and the speakers’ talks from both sides. Except for unforeseeable within the day, the decision of the court is also expected.
