For six months she was in unclaimed due to misunderstanding between Police and Coast Police!

The corpse of Elena Oltesntorf was at the morgue refrigerator of Forensic Medical Service in Athens as unidentified!

The 50 year old Elena disappearance which had developed into thriller and was intensely preoccupied the media has been lost between 9-11 of June from her house in Petralona.

On June 16, men of Coast Police found the corpse of a woman in the sea area of Flisvos and carried it to the morgue.

The port authorities have sent the relevant FAX at the Missing persons department to check whether they are any missing person similar the corpse. But they sent it to the wrong number! None of the Coast Police at the time confirmed whether the FAX arrived at its destination, so the competent service was not informed!

The months passed agonizingly for the mother of Elena who had come from Ukraine to Greece to find her.

All this time the Police department of Petralona continued investigations over the case even between people from her friendly circle as there were indications of crime with economic incentives.

Part of her property she had inherited from her Greek husband who died two years ago, disappeared…

Police identified persons who had made commitments through her own bank cards and this investigation is ongoing.

The conclusion of the autopsy will tell if the death was due to drowning or if someone threw the corpse at the sea to show that it was a suicide.
