The disappearance
Christos Merentitis disappeared mysteriously from familys cottage in Agios Ioannis area , in Koropi. Everyone thought that he was lost on Monday, May 5th. A testimony arrived at ‘Tunnel’, proved that the 36 year old disappeared one day after on Tuesday, May 6th , between 9.30 am to 12 noon. Chritos that day returned to the cottage and someone who knew surprised him. His blood and a chalice from 9mm gun were later found later inside a canopy in the backyard.

Nearly seven months after the disappearance of Christos Merentitis, his life partner Dina opened her heart to Angeliki Nikolouli. She described the tragedy she is living all these months. Her partner life was lost, but a new one came into the world, their child. Dina still cannot realize what has happened. As she said she thinks that she will go out in the garden and see Christos alive. Finds it difficult to express what she feels and tries each day to remain calm.
She brought to mind the night at the cottage in Koropi, the place where the thriller has played. Police investigations, her beloved’s blood that was found in a small warehouse in the yard. Christos would not direct his disappearance, as she said. She believes that someone who knew him, surprised and harmed him.
The white truck brings light …
The white truck brand Mercedes 815 belonged to Merentitis had object of the research of “Tunnel”, because it was not found in the cottage. The vehicle was not operating and if someone could take it to another location with crane. A testimony came on the show revealed the path of the truck which was transferred by crane to Aspropyrgos. Then the Police moved it to the Directorate of Criminal Investigation.
Witness spoke to ‘Tunnel’ and revealed that Christos Merentitis two days before he disappeared, sold the white truck at his friend with whom he had also business transactions. The same day, he resold to an another one at Aspropyrgos. This person had spoken to the journalist in the first show. In related questions for the “disappearance” of the truck from the cottage at Koropio, stated then ignorance.

Friend and collaborator of missing man who bought the truck, spoke to Angeliki Nikolouli. He claimed that during the investigations initially concealed that bought and immediately sold the white truck, because Christos asked him to hide it.

Angeliki Nikolouli tried to locate at the area of Oropos a foreigner witness who had seen the missing person the day he got lost. But he had gone for his country, a week after the disappearance. The reporter spoke with the father in law of Christos Merentitis, which continues the research for the truth.
He claimed that Christos shortly before he disappeared, confided that some people in Koropi approached him and offered him a job that would bring him “easy money.” They were aware of the financial difficulties he was facing and tried to trap him. Thanasis Athanasiou believes that Christos was killed and asks the exemplary punishment of the guilty ones.
