It is a creation of the great artist Alekos Fasianos, who offered to the Association.
The “Kallipatera Angel” printed on T-shirts in order the money from sales to be donated to the athletic, social and charitable work of the Society.
I responded immediately to the call of the Association and wore the T- shirt with the creation of Alekos Fasianos, a move which was warmly accepted by the friends of the “Tunnel”.
The action of Kallipatira
The president of the Greek Athletic Association for Women ‘Kallipatira ” is a very good friend, a creative lady Catherine P. Panagopoulos, who is parallel and the Ambassador of Greece to the Council of Europe on Sport, Tolerance and Fair Play.
The activities of the Association are organizing sports and cultural events, support of talented young gymnasts, welfare measures and rehabilitation aid athletes, ensuring their employability after they retire from the track etc. Companions and partners in this new period of action of the association “Kallipatira” is the Greek Olympic Association, after the recent signing of Memorandum of Understanding at the Onassis Cultural Center.
“Kallipatira” was founded in 1976 by Ms. Eleftheria Kousoula. It is a non-profit association with purely feminine character and offers over 37 years valuable work in the sports and social space.
