Banks that were giving loans uncontrollably all this time at the channel, now appear to delay the exit of Alter from the tunnel. Argo Fund and the shareholders of the channel seem optimistic that the problems will be solved in November and employees and presenters will then get their money.
Everyone waited for the beginning of the new program on September 5th and the inflow of money from the advertisements so as the employees could get paid. Nevertheless, technicians and journalists told the leadership of the channel, that if they would not get paid on late August, they would start new strikes. The Director of Human Resources Nasia Gorgoli, informed the employees that a new strike in the beginning of the program, will ruin everything.
Despite the warning technicians chose to do continuous strikes, which prevent the transmission of the live program. “We have no more patience, we have to eat, to pay our rent, we can’t meet our obligations,” stress the employees in their meetings. They remind to everyone that the leadership of the channel had given the assurance that on September most problems would solved. Alter seems to remain suspended in a period that had to be productive with a new-rich live program.
The board of Alter blames the employees, technicians in particular, for their extreme actions that lead the channel to deadlock. What happens next, nobody knows. A whole world, presenters, journalists, technicians and administrators trying to support Alter since October so as to keep alive the viewers’ favorite channel.
The board is struggling to give life to a channel that is in emergency situation for months. The extreme choices never solved any problems. Instead, they made them more intense…
