It took four years so as the local Authorities could extort the confession of the main suspect who had been trapped by ‘Tunnel’ and finally find Giannis Kiriatzidis buried. When the TV show tried to find 34 year- old missing Giannis Kiriarzidis, Greek living in Germany, the contradictions of the friend who was celebrating with him at his name day, became obvious during the live broadcast. All evidence was showing that Kiriatzidis was not alive and some close friends of his that were ‘anxious and were searching for him’, knew details. Finally, it was proved that Eugenios who was in communication with ‘Tunnel’ was one of the three friends who killed him! He helped at his burial at a friend’s property in the area Folia of Kavala, situated near mountains. He was the one who caused a serious incident among the friends which ended up at the murder and burial of their friend. He didn’t accept the excuse that Giannis gave him, that the money he had given him to keep was stolen along with other personal belongings when his house in Kavala was burgled. Giannis, known with the nickname ‘grandfather’, was arrested and confessed that he was the one who killed his friend with a knife and led policemen at the place of the burial where Gianni’s bones were found. On March 2011 the Mixed Jury Court of Drama sentenced him to lifetime imprisonment for that horrible crime. The TV show brought to light all information of the disappearance which finally proved to be a murder. Eugenios who was trapped in ‘Tunnel’ was then participating at the researches with friends in Germany, ‘anxious’ about the life of the man he had murdered with the help of others!
