For two and a half hours he testified what he knows and indicated on video material the exact spot where, as he claims, Mario’s headless body was dug up by animals.
Authorities are now focusing on locating the body or what is left of it and are continuing the investigation.
The DNA results will show if the skull found in a mountainous area before Dervenochoria is indeed that of 26-year-old Marios, who was kidnapped and murdered in August 2012. The place where it was found was indicated by the prisoner himself.
If it turns out to be about Mario, the eleven-year-old thriller that shocked the whole of Greece will be brought to an end. Failing that, another thriller begins to trace the identity of the murdered man.
The mother of the unfortunate Marios, who never stopped looking for him, said speaking to MEGA.
“All I want is for what’s left of my child to be found.”
Her lawyer, Nikos Roussopoulos, who was on the set of the show, revealed that important legal developments are expected with the first group of the mastermind who is accused and has been called to apologize to the Investigator. Among the defendants are his two sons, current and former police officers.
