Extradition of Romanian delayed…

The main suspect in the murder of the unfortunate Monica Gius, who was found cemented in their house in the upper town of Kyparissia and who is being held in the prison of Amsterdam, appeared before the Dutch Justice today.

The Dutch judge announced the charge of murder, which weighs on him and is listed in the international arrest warrant.

The Romanian national submitted a request for extradition to Greece immediately and for his case to be tried under Greek criminal law, in the country where the crime was committed, something that will be examined by a Dutch court in the coming days.

The process of its extradition to Greece is not expected to take place earlier than October 10.

His lawyer Vassilios Noulezas, in a telephone conversation he had with “Tunnel”, stated that he would ask both the Dutch and the Greek authorities to speed up the procedures for his extradition to our country.

“He is not afraid to face Justice and will contribute to the truth to be found,” he stressed, among other things.
