On the morning of Wednesday, December 16, a citizen initially located his car, on a rural road between the old bridge Strymonas and Efkarpia, on the old national road to Nigrita, Serres.
At noon of the same day, two kilometers away, his body was found in an irrigation canal. Police and a medical examiner were called to the scene to investigate the death of George Grigoriadis, who was also the father of a minor child.
The unfortunate man suffered a back injury and more light on the circumstances and causes of his death is expected to be given by the autopsy-necropsy that will follow.
