“I’m innocent,” Costi’s mother said in her apology …

With the apology of Kostis Polyzou’s mother continued the trial of the murder case of the unfortunate young man on Tuesday, February 25, at the Western Macedonia Joint Arbitration Court in Kozani.

Since the beginning of her apology she has declared that she is innocent, by saying:

“I’m innocent, I would never do harm to my child. I want the guilties to be found. They charge me with things that are not valid. They have accused me of not wanting to know what situation my child was in because I could not bear to hear all these macabre. My child did not go to kill himself and be buried by himself, someone killed him. I cannot give a reasonable explanation. As a mother, I can’t explain why. My son was a good kid. They may have buried him in our estate to blame us. I don’t have a criminal mind to take actions to blame. ”

Her apology continued with a number of Prosecutor’s questions:

“Why should everyone have such a negative image of you, have something personal with you?” He asked. By answering how the world has been influenced by the media.

The Prosecutor asked the defendant why they did not answer the interrogator’s 35 questions. She said she did so at the suggestion of her then lawyer, with the Prosecutor filling in the following characteristics:

“If I were innocent I would go and testify frankly, that I love my child without any hint. Also, if I had the information that he was in Mount Athos, I would have gotten in. You didn’t do it, you just stayed in the guise. ”

At the same time, the defendant turned her arrows on the police officers in the case, naming high-ranking ELAS officers. He was asked in court why many of them were not in the room to testify.

Her apology ended with Kosti’s mother insisting that she was innocent, that she had done no harm to her child and that she wanted to find the culprits, “who are out with their families and having fun,” as she characteristically said.

The trial continued with the apology of Kostis Polyzos’ father.
