On that day he had been called to testify at the Fire Brigade’s Inquiry about a fire that had broken out in a warehouse and he never arrived.
The man who exploits this particular field had to visit it since last October. When the worker went on the afternoon of Thursday March 23 to make preparations for the new sowing and reached the well, he found the body of the unfortunate man.
Since the rains of the last months, the water level had risen a lot and thus his body almost reached the surface, where due to the frozen waters it was preserved to a sufficient extent.
In a state of shock, the worker called the Police and the Fire Department. The firefighters recovered the body of the missing person, where his personal belongings were also found on him and thus he was identified by his relatives.
There were branches over the well but there was also a fence in the field. At this stage, the Police have ruled out the possibility of criminal activity and are examining how the unfortunate man ended up there.
