Angeliki Nikolouli, has managed to solve difficult cases of disappearances of children and adolescents, helping the organization for a common vision:
To put a smile on every child’s face.
In an effort to sensitize and inform viewers, the social worker and collaborator of the Sia Kakarouba organization on Friday, December 14, was found in the Tunnel studio. The latest official national statistics on minor extinctions and abuse were presented.
More specifically:
National Statistics for minors disappearances in the first six months of 2018
“Smile of the Child” received on line 116000, a total of 92 requests for child disappearances:
• 55.5% concerned adolescents
• 7.6% in parental grabs
• 25% of worrying disappearances
• 11.9% in disappearances of unaccompanied minors
From the above:
• Of the 92 cases, 72 children were found
• In 7 cases the communication was interrupted
• 13 children are still looking for
• Out of a total of 92 children, 72 were from 13-18 years of age, 52 had Greek citizenship and 40 foreign children
• The majority were girls and the main cause of disappearance, family problems and relationships with the other sex
From the above:
• Of the 92 cases, 72 children were found
• In 7 cases the communication was interrupted
• 13 children are still looking for
• Out of a total of 92 children, 72 were from 13-18 years of age, 52 Greek citizenship and 40 foreign children
• The majority were girls and the main cause of extinction, family problems and relationships with the other sex
Statistics of child abuse from January 1st to October 31st 2018
The SOS 1056 line of “Smile of the Child” received a total of:
• 647 reports of serious child abuse incidents
• They related to 1,186 children whose cases were forwarded to the competent Prosecutor’s Offices
• The Line received 124 requests to host child victims of all forms of violence involving a total of 218 children of all age groups
• 12 children were removed from their environment due to sexual abuse
• On-the-spot interventions were carried out for 178 children at imminent risk
• There are 299 children in the Homes of the Organization with 6 of them being sexually abused
