He also said that at the beginning of October he saw him again at a cafeteria in Daphni area and the young man woffered him coffee.

They left at the afternoon from the camp to go to the harbor, ate in a restaurant, met separately some well-known soldiers and entered the ship for the return journey. Takis looked relieved that he had been released and talked to his mother on the phone.
According to the missing person’s traveling companion, the two young men entered the ship around eleven in the evening. They laid their sleeping bags in one of the inner lounges of the ship next to a piano and went to the deck to smoke.

After half an hour the friend told Takis that he would go to sleep and he replied that he would follow him later. All this time Takis spoke through text messages with his girlfriend. The ship around seven o’clock in the morning had already been tied to the port of Piraeus when one of the crew went and awakened the friend of the missing soldier.
Then he saw that Takis was not next to him. He called him to his two mobile phones but they were deactivated. At first he thought he left and forgot his stuff. His bag was open and there was a bottle of water next to it. The sleeping bag was intact as if he had not been lying down.
He took his personal items and searched him on the deck, even on the toilet, but in vain. He came out of the ship and waited for him to look. When the last passenger descended, he informed the crew about the loss of his friend.
“They brought me up again on the ship, we searched without result and alerted the Coast Guard. I also followed them to testify. On the contrary, he hid everything behind a bright smile. As she said, life itself forced him to mature quickly and began working from the tender age of 14 years. He lacked family warmth and often looked for it to the families of his friends. He recently made friends with some people who were negatively affected him. His girlfriend thinks he’s very likely to be hiding somewhere.

According to his girlfriend Takis faced the difficulties he was encountering, perhaps he was trying to avoid them, but he would certainly not hurt himself.
