Anger over the decision of the Dairy School

Intimidation caused TV viewers the news that was broadcast on Friday night, May 22, 2015, on the case of Vangelis Yakoumakis.

Through  Skype connection with Giannena, Vassilis Siomos, the partner of the show, conveyed the following information: The new Directorate of the Dairy School, after a meeting of the teachers, proceeded to a simple reprimand to the group of Cretan students who violently bore the unfortunate Vangelis.

The unfortunate student’s family confirmed the news. Vaggelis’ mother contacted the School’s Director when she was informed of the meeting’s decision. In her related questions, the Director replied that they could not expel them because they did not have the necessary evidence.

A simple rebuke to the students who were violently charged to Vangelis Yakoumakis stirred a reaction storm.

Friends of the unfortunate student on the internet organized a protest at the Dairy School of Ioannina.

In vain public opinion expected the school’s new direction to exemplify them. Nevertheless, the particular students would graduate with a  reprimand.

The management of the Greek Agricultural Organization “Dimitra” was disturbed by this decision.

The family of Vangelis Yakoumakis has filed a lawsuit against members of the Dairy School. Eventually the reason was later taken by the Ministry of Rural Development. By decision of three of the six students of the Dairy School of Ioannina accused of the attacks on the Cretan student, they graduated without a degree.

For the remaining three, the Teachers’ Council decided to dismiss them from the School’s Home, classifying their behavior as “wretched.” They could attend their classes without having a right to stay in the Home.

Eight people in total are accused of dangerous personal injuries and unlawful joint violence.

“Help me deal with their violence …”

The former director of the Dairy School was aware of the extreme incidents that were going on, and he was looking intently at ways to deal with them.

As  Tunnel revealed in April 2014, he contacted a counseling telephone support service for parents and teenagers. He mentioned that he directed the Dairy School that housed children from all over Greece and had a boarding school. He asked for expert advice because he said he worked mostly for agronomists . A group of four students from Crete who had grown up in the mountains and were familiar with weapons as he said, was violently assaulted a student. The counselors urged him to talk to their parents for information and call them back.

He felt they did not understand how difficult the situation was and did not call back on this service.

Then in the rage that broke out with the disappearance of the student, the officer in charge informed the police.

He had attempted months ago to sound the alarm on the heads of the Greek Agricultural Organization. In his letter, he had warned of possible serious situations within the School with legal implications. She mentioned the lack of staff and the fact that the boarding school hosted boys and girls, minors and adults.

However, no one reacted organized to prevent the worst.

The former director of the Dairy School is guilty

Eventually the Three-Member Appeal Court of Appeal sentenced him to two years’ imprisonment with a three-year suspension, after being found guilty of the offense of the offense on a continuous basis.

Intra-school violence also resulted in the conclusion of the Special Committee.

Vangelis Yakoumakis, a student, has been the victim of systematic intra-school violence. This also emerged the Special Committee appointed by the Greek Agricultural Organization. The members of the Commission headed by lawyer Andreas Athanasopoulos conducted a survey at the Dairy School of Ioannina that lasted for nineteen days. They spoke with students, with the staff of the School, with the teachers and checked all the decisions of the Board.

From all the evidence that the Commission had in her hands, complaints of bullying against the 20-year-old student were confirmed before and after March 2014 when Vangelis changed  room.

The members of the Committee considered that some of the facts were in the knowledge of the Directorate.
