The three robbers who entered the house of the young civil aviation helicopter pilot, seem to have been determined to leave their victims behind.
They killed and hung the little dog of the family from the inner staircase, so as not to betray them.
They tied the couple and put the pistol in their child’s head to find out where the money was hidden. The beautiful Caroline tried her best to protect her eleven-month-old baby girl. They sentenced her to a slow, suffocating death.
Her 33-year-old husband managed with efforts to “transmit” a danger signal to 100 and to sound the alarm. It was after four-thirty in the early hours of Tuesday, May 11th.
The brutal murder of the young mother shocked the whole of Greece. The “Tunnel” was found in the house of martyrdom on Panagouli Street.
Securing photos from inside, it showed with a graphic representation the way of action of the three robbers and their escape points.

The “Tunnel” spoke with a neighbor and friend of the victim about that fateful dawn, but also about the sweet Caroline.
“She was very much in love with her husband. She loved him and he loved her back. Despite her young age, she was a mature, organized and smiling girl. She would manage everything calmly. We had daily and very good communication because we both loved and cared for the strays in the neighborhood. She was an angel,” she said.
“I woke up early in the morning to a noise and the crying of Caroline’s dog. My own animals were also alerted. If I had understood something, I would have acted differently. What happened is disgusting. I hope they get caught,” she concluded.
The show received testimonies from the neighborhood that showed that in the last fifteen days before the murderous attack, some people were moving suspiciously, as if they were mapping the place.
Viewers were put at the disposal of the Authorities to testify everything they observed about the suspects.

The camera of “Tunnel” traveled to Alonissos, where Caroline grew up, to meet her childhood friend, Haroula Tsiamis. Together in High School, Lyceum, scouts and diving, Charoula describes the 20-year-old as a woman full of dreams, who loved traveling and living a fairytale life with her husband.
“Why the mother? Didn’t they feel sorry for her? “, she said.
The last time they spoke was about a month ago, when Charoula gave birth and Caroline wished her and gave her advice, since she also had a difficult pregnancy.
“She has always loved children. She gave birth prematurely, but she forgot everything as soon as she hugged her baby”, she concluded.
The two friends would meet in the summer, when Caroline was going on vacation to Alonissos, however the thread of her life was cut prematurely.
The last act of the drama was written on Friday, May 14 in Alonissos. The whole island accompanied the unfortunate mother to her last home with a silent sadness. Her husband held his daughter tightly in his arms at all times.

A “burning” testimony arrived on the show a few hours after the robbery and brutal murder of the 20-year-old in Glyka Nera.
The woman who called the “Tunnel” reported that on the night of the tragic event, outside a bank branch on Fili Avenue in Liosia two Roma men, deposited 15,000 euros at an ATM.
“Out of anxiety, they put the money in the machine all together and blocked it. They helped them make the deposit of 15 thousand while they still had 38,000 euros in their account!”, the witness stated characteristically.
Reward money to anyone who helps in the identification of perpetrators…
By Joint Ministerial Decision of the Minister of Civil Protection, Michalis Chrysochoidis and the Deputy Minister of Finance, Theodoros Skylakakis, a monetary reward of 300,000 euros was announced, to anyone who provides data and information that will lead to the arrest of the perpetrators of the robbery after 20 years.

George Makris, President of the Association of Security Systems, gives advice so that houses are not easily robbed.
“A certified security system must be activated. Cameras and external radars that “catch” the perpetrators. There should also be lighting.
