Charalambos Ziotopoulos, 45, has been missing since Thursday, November 10. His farm car was found abandoned near Levidi one day later.
It seems that his fellow villagers “pointed” to him as the culprit of the fire that had broken out in a warehouse on the estates that his family was renting and that belonged to another villager.
His relatives are afraid that he initially wanted to leave on his own from the “incendiary” environment that was created and that something happened to the person who probably helped him along the way.
“They don’t even want to think about the suicide version heard by the authorities.”
Video – document…
A video – document from the night of the fire, Friday November 4, arrived at “Tunnel”. CCTV shows at 8.30pm a farm car passing outside the warehouse and driving away. Immediately after, the fire broke out.
“He went to testify about the fire and disappeared…”
The father of the missing person, Fanis Ziotopoulos, spoke on the show from the area of the damaged warehouse.
“Apart from the testimony I gave, I don’t know anything more. I have rented the surrounding fields, about thirty acres, and we haven’t had a problem with anyone since we started operating them in 2015. Babis was a peaceful young man, a householder and had never given rights to society. Now what happened here, I cannot know. My mind is not going anywhere, all I want is my child,” said the father of the missing man, clearly moved.
