The fateful ride with his friends, the “accident”, the abandonment and the cell phones that “grabbed” from him, are all evidence coming to light from his family’s investigation.
George Xydakis, 37, lost his life in a bizarre car accident that occurred on August 15, 2018 at Senetakis Avenue that connects to the New Chania – Sitia Highway.
The orange KTM motorcycle he was riding, was found in a ditch on the side of the road.
At first everyone was talking about an accident and the Road Traffic District ignored important facts located at the site and did not investigate the case further.
His brother became a detective and, together with the expert appointed by the family, discovered the death scene set up by his “friends” to cover up the fact that they caused the deadly car accident.
The “friends”, along with the victim, had gone out for a ride on the highway in front of their cars. They were followed by other people with two different cars.
One by one, it seems, according to the expert, to hit the motorcycle of the unfortunate young man who fell on the second car and then turned his course and ended up in a ditch.
The shocking finding of the family investigation is that the “friends”, in order not to get into trouble, abandoned the unfortunate young man, grabbed his two mobile phones to set up their alibis and distance themselves from the accident they caused.
The tragic mother of the unfortunate young man who spoke about him from the house where he was living, was filled with emotion.

“I don’t want borrowed wings, yours is enough for me, so many people envied your flying anyway.”
With a poem, the mother of the unfortunate George Xydakis wanted to honor her son’s memory and wanted through the show for the truth to shine and find out who is really responsible for his death.
“I still can’t believe George is gone. This kid was my whole life,” she said on Tunnel’s camera.
His father describes him as a happy and hardworking child.
Mother and father are looking for answers that will justify their son’s memory.

Vangelis, the victim’s brother in a detective role, is trying to find clues and connect the pieces of the puzzle that will lead to the solution of this strange car accident.
“There was another brake sign on the spot and it was like someone blocked his way,” he said.
“The law of silence says that we will not interfere with these shepherds who live on the mountain. They take the law into their own hands,” he said, referring to witnesses who are afraid to testify.
“They tell me to sit tight and don’t look into it because you’re going to have a bed ending, but I don’t listen to them. I want justice for my brother,” he concluded.

Expert Constantine Hassiotis, the family’s technical adviser followed with the “Tunnel’s” camera, the route allegedly the victim took with his company, shortly before he was badly injured in a ditch and succumbed to his injuries shortly afterwards.
“There are several cameras on this route that the police should have investigated. They only got the material only from a camera from the other side of the road, which is not usable”, the expert said.
“The victim’s motorcycle did not have any mechanical problems as confirmed by his brother, who was also a co-owner of it,” he added.
But it is also worth mentioning that one of the key witnesses and friends of the victim changed his original testimony, referring to where they separated with the unfortunate George.

From the site where George Xydakis had a strange accident and later lost his life, the family’s technical advisor reported:
“There is contact of another vehicle with his motorcycle and traces of gray are visible. The rim has been distorted, something that could not have existed before it hit the rocks. ”
The expert also talked about the role and movements of the victim’s friends in the car accident.
“They have fallen into many contradictions. They took his cell phone and abandoned him. They left a 15 minute note to discuss any conversations and alibis, left and came back afterwards. The driver of EKAB was impressed by their moves and reactions. It was like they were playing theater”, he said.

The family’s technical adviser points to the “Tunnel” the motorcycle and the points where it appears to have been hit by another vehicle, which caused it to divert.
According to the victim’s friends’ testimonies, no other vehicle was involved in the traffic accident, a scenario that is overthrown by the findings of the expert designated by the family.
“The motorcycle was in contact with a farm car and a BMW convertible. The expert appointed by the State did not go into the process of comparing and evaluating this and other important findings,” he told the camera.
