Looking for Tania Chartopoulou’s remainings

Twentytwo years after the murder of Tania Charitopoulou by her friend SK, the horror revealed by “Tunnel”, is reviving.

According to exclusive information of the show, the case file was reopened following a prosecutor’s order. The occasion was new data regarding the location of the bones of the unfortunate 27-year-old mother.

The officers of the Homicide Department of the Security of Thessaloniki entered the dance of investigations. According to the same information of “Tunnel”, SK, who was recently released from prison, allegedly confessed to his own daughter that he killed her mother on the night of August 22, 1998 at their house in Polichni, Thessaloniki.

Shortly afterwards, he wrapped the body in a rug and buried it in a secluded spot in Polichni, not far from the killer’s house. At the burial he claimed that he was helped by an acquaintance whom he named and is expected to testify at Police Headquarters of Thessalonikh.

His daughter, who at the age of about three years old witnessed the murder of her mother, addressed the Police dpt of Thessaloniki and testified everything that SK told her. A few days ago, he pointed out to the police the place where, as he claimed, he buried the body of 27-year-old Tania.

They dug in the same place but also in other nearby places but the bones of Charitopoulou were not found. It should be noted that SK from the first moment denied any involvement in the murder of both Tania and his ex-partner Nicole Kirchner in Switzerland in 1992. For both murders he was sentenced to life imprisonment.

His alleged confession has no legal effect as the crime is statute-barred.

“Tunnel” contacted the lawyer of SK Giannis Nisyrios, who confirmed the new investigations that are being done to find what is left of Charitopoulou. According to him, the case file was opened at the request of the victim’s daughter and the investigation is under the supervision of the prosecutor.
