The perpetrators of the first criminal gang of the leader, who remained unharmed for nearly eight years, are now being prosecuted for the murder of Marios Papageorgiou.
Eight people, including relatives of the man who organized and executed the devilish plan with victim the unfortunate 26-year-old, will appear before a court on charges of felony crimes.
The developments were reported by Nikos Roussopoulos, the family’s lawyer, speaking at the Tunnel.
At the same time on Friday, March 27, a new document on the case was presented.
A witness drove the Tunnel’s camera to a deserted spot on Mountain Patera at an altitude of 1,200 meters, near the old American base. There she found a burnt out van that had been abandoned for years on the spot.
The first criminal group responsible for the killing of Marios was reported to have been active in the area. According to a Canadian family researcher, they had carried the dead young man to the spot and then with a red van, they threw away his body.
The show’s reporter found the Canadian investigator on site and the camera recorded the new evidence and testimony.
“I found the power to speak in order to have my consciousness clear…”
“We had come with my family last November for a walk in this place. We were intrigued by this burnt van. I linked it to Marios’ case because I was watching it, so I thought I should let you know. I was impressed and decided to take pictures,” she said.
At an emotional state, she talked about the reasons she did not inform the show earlier.
“Even if it’s late, I found the strength to send it to you. My people advised me not to take any action so as not to have any troubles. I’m a mom with three kids, but I want my consciousness to be clear and to sleep quietly at night,” she concluded.
Canadian researcher looks for clues at the burnt van…
The Canadian private investigator is still dealing with the case of the unfortunate Marios to put an end at his mother’s Calvary. His own research showed a red van from the very beginning. He and the Tunnel crew were found at the spot indicated by the witness.
“The role of the red van is very important. This was used by the first team to move Marios from Villia to the final destination, where they get rid of his corpse. About a kilometer from here is the Villia area. I got a scratch for examination to analyze the data from this van,” he told the show’s camera.
Canadian researcher: “I got samples from the van that will ‘talk’…”
The private investigator carried out an autopsy on the vehicle and took samples to examine them and determine if it was ultimately the red van in which Marios was dead.
“I’m looking for characteristic signs that I know the red van had. Very high temperatures were here. This was not a small fire that destroyed it. I want to make some conclusions with the research before I say more,” he told the show’s camera.
He also called on the people from the first group of kidnappers to talk about being “liberated”, as he says.
“They should start talking now that it is early, because there will soon be developments to their detriment,” he concluded.
In the role of the first team now being prosecuted, the investigator had previously referred to Tunnel. Analyzing their telephone conversations, he had begun the investigation and had given the full picture of this heinous crime.
On Friday’s show, viewers asked to re-watch Tunnel’s research into Mariοs’ Papageorgiou car.
Aggeliki Nikolouli then sought the help of geneticist Giorgos Fitsialos because she believed that the car used by the victim and the perpetrators contained evidence that had not been found. The investigation revealed the washed blood of the unfortunate young man and shocked the nation.
