A weekend of agony was spent for the family of the beloved woman from Corfu, after the new searches in a specific location to find her body, which, however, turned out to be fruitless.
Men of the fire brigade, in the presence of police, “plowed” literally with digging machines an area close to the house of 80-year-old Maria Kolla. They investigated points indicated by a specific person, who had been examined as a suspect on Friday afternoon.
Despite the investigations carried out day and night, it was not possible to locate any trace of the woman.
With all the possibilities still officially open, the investigations continue while the family of the missing person appeals to anyone who has any information.
What the 80-year-old’s brother says about the disappearance – “The surrounding villages are mourning…”
The brother of the missing person, Priest Nikolaos Chytiris, in a telephone conversation he had with “Tunnel”, stated his fears for her life and all he wants is for her to be found.
Among other things, he stressed: “The village is mourning. Not only her village, but also the surrounding villages mourn those who knew her. A happy person, always there for those around her and willing to help. We hope to find her to find out what really happened to her. ”
It is recalled that the elderly woman has mysteriously disappeared from her home in Kokkini, Corfu, on Monday, September 6. Among the possibilities examined by the Police on the island is that of criminal activity, while various suspects have been examined.
