The pigman and the threats…
A few days after the revelations of Tunnel in the thriller of policeman Nikos Karamanis, the witness brought up – down in the case, started receiving threats to his life.
The witness who recorded the horror scene, that fateful night saw four people among them was a woman. He remember that one of the men in the group seemed tall and stocky, but cannot be sure if he was the victim. This person was out of the car. The witness during the broadcast, remembered the nickname of one of the friends who listened that night to squabble before the car felt down the cliff.
The nickname I heard is pigman . Here in the villages we call pigman someone who is hunting pigs. Many people in the area that the police officer was killed are hunting pigs. I believe that there a few people with the same nickname having a 4×4 rural car at the time he said.
What the third of the group said for the fateful night …
Tunnel found the third person of the group who met the unlucky sergeant before losing his life on that fateful night. The witness, who spoke for the first time, described to Angeliki Nikolouli what happened that night that was found with the victim and a relative of the sergeant at a bar.
He said that the relative of the victim called him and invited him to go to his house, and did the same with the victim. Asked by the journalist whether he had a job according to what the sergeant who had been to his parents house said when he left them to go to his relative, he replied: No. Nothing like that.
He continued saying that after victim s motivation decided to go for a drink at the bar. Contrary to what was said at the time to the authorities the relative of the victim, the waitress and the Dj of the bar, the witness claimed to the journalist that all together the three of them entered the bar.
He argued that he left first because he had to wake up early. He said he does not remember Nikos talking on the phone with someone or there was any misunderstanding, nor that he met a woman.
He stressed that the victim did not tell them anything about a case that was investigating as a police officer in the region.
Following these developments, the sister of the victim Vasiliki Karamanis, contacted Tunnel and said: Our hopes clam up that finally we will find the murderers of my brother. I want to ask those who know to speak…
