Prosecutor intervenes in the case of the veteran football player…

Athens forensic laboratories are called upon to shed light on the dark case of the veteran footballer’s death in Amyntaio.

The deputy prosecutor of Florina gave the order to investigate the red marks on the motorcycle of Sakis Sigaris, 51 years old, in order to match them with suspicious vehicles that have been indicated by the family.

The footballer’s wife and children in Hermes Amynteou, claim that he did not lose his life in a car accident, but was hit elsewhere and was transported with his motorcycle to the field where he was found dead.

The technical advisor of the family, Panagiotis Madias, asked to be investigated where the red marks on the victim’s motorcycle came from.

The local police did not accept it and the report was finally accepted by the Prosecutor. The case was taken over by the Security of Florina after the lawsuit for murder against strangers submitted by the family.

The developments come a few months after the case was shown on the show.

The family has also appointed medical examiner Charalambos Koutsis as a technical consultant. His investigation shows that Sigaris’ death did not appear to be the result of a car accident. From the information given to him, he did not see any injuries on the victim’s limbs, except on the head.

The father of three children was found dead on Friday, May 3, 2019 in a field at the 3rd kilometer of the provincial road Petra – Amynteou.
