Domestic violence on the rise…

The numbers that saw the light of publicity in the “Tunnel” for domestic violence during the first quarantine period are of concern.

During the two months March – April, the Helpline 15900 received 2,219 calls with the complaint of domestic violence reaching 92%.

These and other important elements were brought to light by the show, on the occasion of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, which is November 25th.

The General Secretariat for Family Policy and Gender Equality, in collaboration with UNICEF, has published the first Annual Report on Violence against Women.
