What did his daughters told before he got lost…
“Tunnel s” camera followed the last traces of Nikos Asimakopoulos. At noon Sunday, January 4th the businessman ate with his two younger daughters in a restaurant located very close to his Shopping Centre in Voula. The restaurateur Michael Fragos described him as a very good family man who cared so much for his children. He remembered that on that day his daughters left earlier and he remained in the restaurant alone for about an hour. He seemed upset, he did not drink any alcohol and left the restaurant on foot. His younger daughters remember today that their father was despondent because when they were chatting and singing cheerfully at the restaurant, he said to them: “Why do you sing? Nothing is ok and you are happily singing? ” Since that day, the 59 year old remains missing.
The clothes that the witness saw were found in the basement
When “Tunnel” presented for the first time the case of the strange disappearance of Nikos Asimakopoulos an important testimony came on the show and revived the family’s hopes. The witness spoke to “Tunnel” out of the chapel of St. Nicholas in Glyfada. Aris Stefanidis knew very well the missing man because he was a tenant of the Shopping Center and they maintained friendly relations. He claimed that he saw him the next day of the disappearance, at Monday noon, January 5th. He was walking across the street from the chapel towards the beach. The witness was not aware that his family considered him as a missing and cried from afar waiting to talk to him after he parked his car, which never happened. He remembers that he was wearing a brown plaid jacket that was found along with his other personal belongings in the basement office in the garage of the shopping center.
“We’re searching blindly, without help …”
The eldest daughter of the businessman with a photograph of her father’s in her hands, has searched all over the area of Lagonissi, where the transmitting signal of his mobile phone stopped. Unfortunately her research had no effect. With desperation painted on her face she spoke to “Tunnel”. “Authorities have not realized the necessity to authorize of telecommunications secrecy thus losing precious time. Perhaps the calls he received or did give us important information about what happened. All we know is that the signal of his mobile phone stopped at 10.30 in the evening on Sunday, January 4 at Agios Georgios in Lagonissi. Since then we are in the dark. “
