Vagelis Abatzopoulos, 63, was lost on Friday, March 9, after a serious health problem he faced while driving his taxi.
At seven-thirty that morning, the lone man was spotted by police officers in t Petralona area in a bad state in the stationary taxi that was driving, on Thessaloniki’s street near the train station. The car was half on the sidewalk and was damaged.
An ambulance was called to pick him up, but he refused to be taken to the hospital. His daughter was informed of the incident but she could not leave her job. She spoke to him on the phone and understood that he would return home with another taxi. The owner of the car driven by Abatzopoulos and a colleague who went to the place left with the impression that his daughter would eventually go to pick him up and leave. Since then his traces have been lost.
Tunnel investigation cleared the misty landscape, as Abatzopoulos’ daughter had no close contact with him and confused the date and time he was lost.
