Some have believed that Christina Exarchoula, 57, directed her disappearance …

But the testimonies that arrived at the show brought the overturn.

A few hours before officially being declared missing by her husband, they had an intense fight.

The woman reportedly left her house in Stoupa and went hitchhiking to a nearby village. There, as confirmed by the removal of telephone privacy, she spoke to her husband who asked her to return home.

The mystery became complicated at noon on Tuesday, October 24, 2017. A witness claims he have seen the missing woman returning to the village and going to her house. This document was recorded, but when the police asked for it, it was erased.

Another witness claims that he hitchhiked a woman who looked like Christina in the afternoon of the same day, heading for Kardamili. It is the only testimony until today that  shows her away from her village.

Christina, one day before her disappearance visited the hospital of Kalamata to get the results of medical examinations for which she was very worried. Lately, she has been exhausted and lost a lot of weight.

In the investigations that followed , volunteers of the West Mani Society “Gaia” participated. Commander Kostas Xydeas, in connection with  “Tunnel” via Skype, said:

“The police informed us the day after the disappearance and for four days we were searching intensely in the area, in the nearby villages, even in Gythio. We followed all the information, we searched even wells, unfortunately without effect. “

As the president of the Association Christina Constantiou said, there was no trace of all these months when the volunteers were combing the area. Surveys in hospitals, bus and monasteries were negative.

The husband of the missing person did not participate in this effort. A few weeks after she was lost, he left Stoupa and moved to New York where he stayed without having any contact with any of her relatives.

Determined to illuminate the darkness that  swallowed her sister is Antonia Exarchoulea.
Tunnel reporter met her at Stoupa in Mani, from  where Christina was lost in October 2017. The area in the summer has many  tourists, but in winter residents are few.
For months now, her sisters and herself  are living with distress if Christina is well or something bad has happened to her.
“For ten years she has been married she was away from her own people. Even if she had problems with her husband, she did not talk about it. She supported him to death, “she said.
For her disappearance  she was informed on the night of the same day by her cousin and neighbor of Christina and not by her husband. When she asked him what could happen to her, he never answered her.
“Only my sister worked, especially in seasonal jobs. Her husband was unemployed for years. The house that were staying belongs to her, but she did not maintain it and looks abandoned. Now the keys are in my possession, “she said.

“Personally, I do not think the husband was particularly worried about her loss. We found her things in boxes but I cannot know that she had left her before she was lost. I have no idea, “she said.
Her sister’s husband left a few weeks after her loss for America.
“He has not called us on the phone since then to learn something new, nor do we know where he is.”
Together with Tunnel ‘s reporter they entered the house where Christina lived with her husband. The picture speaks for itself, absolute abandonment, and police never investigated it.
“My sister’s cell phone was not found, her charger was here. At the house was her  sickness book but not her identity card. Her husband told the police that Christina took her cell phone with her, “she said.
She also said that when her sister was lost there were few tourists in the area and that only their cousin heard the couple’s fight.

Witness saw her return to the village …
The cousin and neighbor of Christina, with whom they maintained excellent relations, spoke to Tunnel ‘s camera for the day of the disappearance.
Their houses are next to each other, and that afternoon he heard loud voices. He went out to be anxious to see what was going on. His cousin was down in the yard and her husband on the upper floor ladder. They were arguing  with nerves. His wife cried: “Should I leave  or you?”
The  cousin did not react, he left discreetly and when he returned Christina was no longer there.
The next day her disappearance became known, he learned that the missing person when she left her house after the quarrel, went to a nearby supermarket and hitchhiked to leave to a next   village to Kalamata.

He told the Tunnel that fights  was a frequent phenomenon between the couple and since  summer they had become even more intense.
“He had not been quiet at all. He did not come out of the house and sent her to buy his cigarettes and beers, “he said.
Another witness told Tunnel that at half past one at noon  of the day she disappeared, she saw her talking loudly on her cell phone from a village about twenty kilometers away from Stoupa to Kalamata.

As it revealed  , she was talking to her husband who was asking her to return home.
Another resident, an employee of a shop from where Christina used to shop almost daily, spoke to “Tunnel”. He said that immediately after the disappearance the police asked to see the material from the CCTV of  the store. Unfortunately, it had been three days and was erased. The witness said that the  camera recorded Christina to shop around noon and then she was heading to her house.  But he was not sure whether it was the day of the disappearance  or the day before.
Her  cousin said in the show that he only spoke once with her husband after her mysterious disappearance.
“We exchanged a simple” hello “. He did not tell me that he intended to leave abroad. ”

“She took the results of her medical tests from the hospital and was lost …”
The natives of the missing Christina spoke to “Tunnel”. They said they were particularly fond of her and were very worried that she had become too weak recently. For this reason her father-in-law undertook the initiative to go to a doctor and have tests.

As he said the missing person was afraid of the results she received from the Kalamata hospital one day before she disappeared.
At noon on Tuesday, October 24, their son phoned them and told his father that Christina was at a friend of hers in a nearby village and was not answering his calls. He asked him to call her and tell her to come back home. Christina did not respond to his own calls, nor to the voice messages that left her.
According to her father-in-law who continued her efforts over the next few days, the 57-year-old’s phone continued to receive calls and messages.
He believes his daughter in law lives and that she has chosen to leave.
Christina’s mother-in-law reported that she was having problems with her son as she was often crushed, but she was talking for him with the best words.
They told  Tunnel that shortly after her disappearance, their son decided to leave for America seeking a better fortune. But they do not have his  phone number and they know nothing more than he is in New York.
They described Christina as a social person who had freedom of movement and expressed the hope of being found.
