The testimony of slaughterhouses guard in Tunnel caused the telephone intervention of the merchant with whom the missing person had financial transaction before he got lost. Dimos Dimou claimed that he left slaughterhouses after honking at the guard and greeted him. Graikos was already out of the facilities. Dimou left quickly and the missing followed him. He turned left but did not notice if the buissnesman followed the same path with him, something that was confirmed by security cameras.
What the guard saw the time before disappearance …
Angeliki Nikolouli spoke with the guard of Halastra slaughterhouse who had shift while the missing left the point. He told journalist that he saw Dimitris Grekos inside his car talking on his mobile phone at around 5:30 p.m.
The pedestrian guard went toward him and the missing man when he saw him approaching left with his car.
He argued that he did not remember somebody else horn to him while he was leaving the area of the slaughterhouse, nor another driver leaving before Graikos.
What did the missing do before he got lost
The lawyer of the missing man Konstantinos Papageorgiou in a telephone communication withTunnel, said that Dimitris Graikos had visited him in his office one day before disappearing, to get some documents for the cottage which the family has in Chalkidiki.
Around 10 am the day he disappeared, he called the law office and informed that he handed over the documents to the special office as he should do.
He said he would go to the office the next day. As the lawyer explained, the businessman had settled his debts, had escaped the nightmare of his financial problems and was planning to renew his unit.
He never had seen him use a second mobile phone while in office were photocopies of the identity card of his client and not the original. He said that the missing person had given the identity card to his wife to pay some bills on his behalf.
At this point intervened the wife of the missing who was in the broadcast studio. She explained that a few days before the disappearance, on 27 October, she found on the house table, a folder with accounts that have to be paid. That morning Despina Tsakalidou visited the post office where she found that inside the envelope was the identity card of her husband.
Returning, she left the envelope on the table and informed her husband. The next day she claimed, Graikos said he had not found the identity card in the envelope, but did not seem to worry much. Over the next few days that she urged him to declare the loss of the identity card , he was indifferent.
Asked by Angeliki Nikolouli if one partner the missing took with pressure his signature to have access to the accounts, the wife replied positively and for this fact she has informed the police.
What does the witness says for the car and driver
Witness who claims to have seen the missing car one day after the disappearance, spoke to Tunnel.
Around seven in the morning the witness was in a car driven by her husband at the road Pilis -Trikalon. Ahead was a dark old rural car, slightly raised, which only one stop light. The car was moving in the middle of the road giving the impression that the driver was drunk or did not know which way to go.
The woman feared he would cause an accident and wrote the number of his plate in a Kleenex box she found in the car. As stated to Tunnel the plate wrote NAY 12 52, which is the same with the missing Dimitris Grekos car, which has not been found yet. The two cars stopped next to each other to the traffic lights before the location of the Trikala bus station. The witness said that next to the driver that had similarities with the missing person, was another person who was shorter.
The mistake of the Skopjan turned us to zero point …
Witness who owns a shop very close to Niki Police Passport Control Department, spoke to the camera. As he explained it is common knowledge to everyone in the region that is not easy to get someone from the Greek border with a stolen identity card . Greek authorities will check identification, while in Skopje controls are more relaxed, he said.
The wife of the missing person was informed by telephone by the police for the mistake of the Skopjan at the passport control. As they explained the Greek authorities had asked the respective neighboring country to check if her husband had crossed the border. The Fyrom official who took control, did a passport control and not identities cards control. He simply pushed the wrong button, and as a result at the time in the system was recorded the details of the missing person.
Greek commander is furious with the mistake and his counterpart in Skopje has ordered an investigation for the incident, said Despina Tsakalidou to Tunnel.
