The woman, who suffered from dementia and was probably disoriented, had disappeared from the area of the church of Prophet Elias in Serres, on the morning of Sunday, July 30.
Since then, her relatives, who were worried about her fate, have been looking for her. The body of the unfortunate woman was recovered with the assistance of men from the Fire Brigade and volunteers of OFKATH.
A Silver Alert had been issued for her disappearance.
