“Since no one else cares about him, we are his family and we will do our best to find him,” they said.
They are asking the Prosecutor to give permission to find out where the cell phone of 70-year-old Panagiotis Papachristos was turned off and to investigate his apartment in Petralona, something that was not done by the police.
A disturbance was caused in the studio of the show by an information that arrived from the area of Filopappos, where the professor used to walk.
In early July, a walker located the body of a man who was transported to the morgue. The information was cross-checked by the police and in the next few days an investigation will be carried out as to whether it belongs to the teacher or to another missing person.
The manager of the block of flats, where the missing English teacher lived, spoke to “Tunnel” about the circumstances of the disappearance.
“In July I discovered that I had not seen him for quite a while and we were looking for him. Everyone in the apartment building was wondering if he had gone on vacation. But he usually would not leave for so long. Because it was very hot some days, it started smelling strongly from his apartment and we were scared. Then we decided to call the Police, as we thought that maybe something had happened, because the man was alone. The Police came, entered the apartment, did not find anything and everything was closed. It seems that he had left something in the fridge and because of the heat the food started smelling and probably from there was the stench. Later, when we wanted to find out about our neighbor, the police would not tell us anything”, she said.
She describes him as a quiet and calm man, who was coming to and from work, was consistent in his duties and suddenly, they stopped seeing him.
“The only ones who came to ask after his disappearance, are you. We wish we will be having something”, concluded the neighbor of Panagiotis Papachristos.
