For two weeks his relatives thought he had been lost in Lailia forest of Serres while he was in Attica.
Yorgos Theofylaktidis, 59, saw the Silver Alert with his photo and presented himself at the Police Department of Aspropyrgos to state that he is well.
The retired seaman who was staying with his brother and nephew in the village of Capnophyto of Serres had left their house on September 6th. Everyone believed he had gone as he used to in the forest to observe snakes, something he loves particularly. Researchesin order to find him were focused at the area and everyone was worried for the worst scenario.
As revealed later, he had traveled to Athens without informing any of his relatives.
