
According to the father’s of the four-year-old victim’s lawyer, both Stanislav Bakarziev (Savvas) and the other accused and his friend Nashev Ahmetov (Nikolay) refused to attend the Athens Joint Court of Appeal, fearing their physical integrity.
The court upheld their request for a stay in the trial until their passage under increased security measures. The new trial was set for Thursday, February 7th.
At first Annie’s father was sentenced to life imprisonment and a three-year and six-month imprisonment sentence and his friend Nicolay to life imprisonment and a three-year prison sentence. They were found guilty of homicide offenses intentionally in a calm mental state and dead man dead.
The mother of the unfortunate child, Dimitrina Borisova, is also accused of exposing a minor to a degree of felony. At first instance, she was sentenced to six years’ imprisonment with suspended power in the appeal, which led her out of prison until the case was second.
