Significant testimony that arrived at the “Tunnel” refers to shots fired from the place where the unfortunate Vasilis Dimaras was found dead on the banks of the Evinos River.
The witness said that on the day the young farmer was lost, around 15:30 at noon, he was in his field picking olives.
“Suddenly shots were heard. A chaos, like a war. Unknown people were shooting from different locations, we could not understand … The next day we learned that Vasilis was found dead…”, he said.
Via a Skype live connection, John Dimaras, Vasilis’s brother and his brother-in-law, Christos Kazanas, spoke about the progress following their homicide lawsuit. The prosecutor in Messolonghi, after the show’s broadcast, studied the case and ordered the area’s Security Department to seriously investigate it further by talking to key witnesses.
