A big thank you to all of you who honoured me with your presence in beautiful Kymi.
We were in a warm company with a constructive discussion in the cozy Kymi Palace Hotel and I thank them for their hospitality.
The presentation of my luxurious trilogy “Light in the Tunnel” by Kastaniotis editions was a way to get in touch with all of you Tunnel lovers and I was pleased to see smiling people of all ages.
The trilogy includes “I Dreamed of your Murderer,” “Red Lips Death”, and “Love Assassin “.
Books based on true stories we have highlighted in “Light in the Tunnel” and “show” the profile of crime in Greece. But most importantly, the messages I want to pass on to all of us to deal with any problems before they occur. The ‘hottest’ is abuse within the family. The domestic violence with victims even the children who are experiencing extreme situations on closed walls. The figures provided by the General Secretariat for Gender Equality are illustrative. The following image comes from the SOS 15 900 national telephone support line:
– In 5,549 calls, 4,283 relate to incidents of domestic violence, mainly with spouses or partners. Most cases are in Athens, Thessaloniki and Patras.
Social worker and family counselor Stamatis Pittas, who attended the event, approached these speeches with delicacy and sensitivity.
Anastasia Tzela, a lawyer and vice-president of the Halkida Municipal Council with her sound legal approach, gave another dimension.
The event was co-ordinated by Dora Babouri and was addressed by Costas Trakos, president of the Association of Professional Craftsmen of the region.
An interesting discussion followed with the people who wanted to know the developments on issues that shocked the public opinion through Tunnel.
