A 49-year-old Dutchman was jailed on Tuesday, May 2, by a ruling of the Nicosia Court for her involvement in the kidnapping of a four-year-old by her Norwegian father.
Cypriot police spokesman Andreas Angelidis said in his statement that another 44-year-old taxi driver had been arrested, who took the child and the Norwegian and transferred them to a suburb of Nicosia for 100 euros.
Four people are detained for the case. Another Cypriot who was initially arrested was released.
It is assumed by the Authorities that the father had collaborators, since on the basis of the driver’s assumption he received the same four-year-old from the Acropolis area and transferred them to Tseri. There was another person waiting for them by car with which passed at the occupied areas .
Four-year-old Marie-Elena Grimmurd was kidnapped in the morning of Thursday, April 27, from a kindergarten in Nicosia.
