On Monday February 20 she did not appear before the appellate court, nor she was represented by a lawyer. The result was the appeal to be rejected as unsupported, without being entitled to exercise another one and the first-instance sentence remains.
The 52 year old Evangelia Ziagka first instance ordered by the Mixed Jury Amaliadas Court to life imprisonment for murder and “cementing” in her jacuzzi bath tub at her house in Diakopto, the 42 year old businessman Tassos Tsagaropoulos. The Court imposed prison also for three and a half year sentence, for finding her guilty for the offenses of the possession and use of weapons, and of forged documents.
The case of Evangelia Ziagka who was arrested thanks to “Tunnel” ‘s survey on June 2010, had shocked public opinion. A year ago the “spider – woman” with her partner at the time were “cementing” inside her luxury maisonette jacuzzi in Diakopto, Tasos Tsagaropoulos.
She was also accused for the murder of her first husband in Albania.
For years, her victims were mostly elderly of whom she drew real estate and money, pretending she was a rich Greek-American.
