
Thanasis Ananiiadis’ nephew trying to find his traces, went to the Service and recognized him.
As it became known, the elderly had been transported with an ambulance on 16th of October at the Tzaneio Hospital of Piraeus. He died six days later due to pathological causes. On October 25th, he was transferred to the Forensic Service of Piraeus and remained there as “unidentified” while his disappearance was declared to the Security Department of Nikea.
According to Tunnel’s information, Tzanio Hospital had informed the local Police about the corpse of the unknown – until that time – old man. Police officers went to the morgue and took the fingerprints of the missing person.
Silver Alert was published, the show continued to show his photo and called for information, but no one from the Piraeus Police was interested in identifying the unfortunate elder.
Thanasis Ananiadis lived alone in Nikea and his relatives who cared for him had lost his traces since the beginning of October.
