“He hit me, threatened me, betrayed me” …

The experienced police officers of the Organized Crime Sub-Directorate “bent” with the testimony of 17-year-old Amanda, who had been abducted and extradited by an Albanian.

The “Tunnel” in the recent past had sought several times the minor who often escaped from the institution where she lived, to escape from family problems that have “injured” her soul almost from her birth.

Amanda was always located a few days later, by the Authorities and thanks to the constant searches by the “Child’s Smile”, which were transmitted through the “Tunnel”. This time, her escape was the occasion to reveal the sick appetites of a 57-year-old Albanian who, taking advantage of her problems and lack of interest from his family, betrayed her to get rich himself.

Greek police after a coordinated operation, put an end to the torture experienced by the minor. Police pretended to be customers, made an appointment at a hotel in Agia Paraskevi, where they found Amanda and arrested the perpetrator.

The accused is facing the following offenses: trafficking in human beings, a profession committed for sexual exploitation together, complicity in the above act, forgery after use, supply and possession of child pornography material via the internet, illegal possession of weapons and possession of ammunition.

The minor’s testimony shocked everybody

Her story is truly shocking. The minor described in detail to the police officers her whole life from her difficult childhood years in Romania, to her “confinement” at the house of the abductor in the area of Rafina. In her testimony, the minor stated that her father abused both her and her mother. When they settled in Athens, her brother started abusing her, while her mother did not seem to do anything to help her. She ended up living in institutions, from where she often disappeared and wandered the streets of downtown Athens.

“I was born in a city in Romania where I grew up until I was about four years old. I have five brothers, two older than me and three younger half-brothers, from a different father.”I never met my father and in the first years in Romania my two older brothers and I grew up with my mom’s grandmother as my mother had left for Greece to find work”, Amanda told to the policemen.

“When my mother returned from Greece, she took us and we all lived together in Piraeus. My mom had found another partner with whom she had the other three brothers and I all grew up with my dad’s mom. “There were always problems in our relationship, as my older brother raped me until I was twelve years old, while my father sexually harassed and beat me.”

How the Albanian took advantage of her

At the beginning of June, the Albanian guy approached her in the area of Omonia and pretended to be the “paternal figure” she was missing. In fact, this sick man approached the girl erotically and they developed a relationship. Although he was jealous, the perpetrator did not hesitate to threaten her in case she betrayed him. He initially took her to a house in Rafina and artificially created guilt in the minor, saying that he offered her a house while she did not reciprocate in any way. At one point he allegedly said to her: “Amanda, you must also bring money home.” The perpetrator photographed Amanda in provocative poses and forged an identity card with different details, in which the minor appeared as 22 years old.

“I was paid 210 euros on my first date. As soon as I left, I felt very bad, while I immediately gave all the money to…. We had decided beforehand that I would give all the money I would make to… to manage it and he would take what I wanted from me “.

“He was quite jealous. We often quarreled both because he thought I was cheating on him and because I did not want to work as a prostitute. In the beginning when we started living together, I had communication and contact with two of my friends. But he was quite jealous and told me that I should stop seeing them. When we were fighting he was raising his hand and hit me mainly on the face and legs. He was very nervous and sometimes drank alcohol and drugs.

“In time, because I could not stand the fights, I did not go out alone with the girls and I went everywhere with him”, she told the police. She continued: “He told me that if I left him and nailed him to the Police, either he or his friends would find me and I would not be able to hide anywhere. I was scared because I saw his friends were all Albanians and prisoners, so I was almost certain that these threats are real. He also threatened me with a gun he had in the house. When I could not stand the beating, the pressures, the threats, I told my friends with whom I had started talking a little that I would leave him and I can not stand it anymore. I was ashamed to tell them about the job he had put me to do and I did not want him to discuss it with his friends either. ”
