Following the complaints of 31 years Antonios Kassotakis mother who mysteriously disappeared in March 2012, the Attorney General of Rethymno was informed and a mandate was given to start a new round of preliminary investigation.
On the morning of Monday, 27 November, he was summoned by Rethymnon Police and called mother of Antonis, Anastasia Kassotaki. In the following days, the missing person’s sister, the main witness identified by the show, as well as the priest.
According to information, Rethymno Police sent a letter of formal notice to the Hellenic Bank Association requesting to be informed by whom or on which branches of the Territory, Antonis Kassotakis maintains or maintained a bank account. When they get the answer, the Public Prosecutor will be asked to remove the bank secrecy to see if Kassotakis had a co-beneficiary in his bank account with the priest with whom he had close relations before he disappeared. Also, through secrecy, it will be ascertained when, by whom, the sixty thousand euro had been withdrawn.
