With these words started his speech, the prosecutor of the Joint Court of Appeal of Athens, in which the case of the assassination of little Anny was heard, on Thursday morning March 7th.
The prosecutor expressed his absolute assurance that the father was the one who murdered her and cut her off in April 2015 and suggested to judges and jurors to convict him of guilt of manslaughter by the intention and incarceration of a dead person.
“On 8 April 2015, a child’s life was lost. Of all the evidence, in my opinion, responsible for the death of Annie, was the behavior and the act her father. Not just the elements, but also the moral reasoning leads us there. It is not logical, the defendant’s allegation that he saw the child bruised, and judged as a forensic judge that she was dead because he killed himself. In that house the crime was committed. The walls and floors had blood. That’s where the annihilation and slicing took place. The suction claim is defensive. Having killed her, he wanted to clear his traces and decided he had to cut the body and put it in bags. Was there a reason to eliminate the corpse if he was not responsible for her death? . There is no doubt that the accused killed his daughter and then cut her off, ” he said.
He then proposed the mother’s release of the juvenile delinquency offense at risk as he said she did not know her child was at risk by leaving her to his father.
The prosecutor appeared to be more lenient with the father’s friend and co-accused , suggesting that the court should judge him for the homicide offense intentionally and declared guilty of cutting.
“The corpse was not found and there would be no suspicion that something happened at home if the accused did not say what Annie’s father had told him that he had killed and cut her off. We would not be here today. It would be one of the many children who disappear. I believe that, despite his opposing claims, he participated in the shredding of Annie. To be guilty of this and for using weapons and get rid of manslaughter intentionally. I found it difficult to believe that there are people doing such acts. Having passed the test of man and father, I saw the things the prosecutor sees. No prosecutor is rejoicing when proposing convictions and imposing heavy penalties, ” the magistrate concluded.
