English tourist Catherine Mowatt was found ten days after her disappearance due to the observation of a citizen who had seen her photo on the Silver Alert poster.
The 37-year-old had left her hotel in Sissi, Lasithi where she was on holidays to go on a one-day trip to Santorini on June 30, leaving her personal belongings in her room.
The employees of the unit when they noticed that she did not return, as she was about to leave for her country on July 4, alerted the authorities and signaled an alarm.
Silver Alert was issued after request of the British Consulate.
