Dimitrina Borisova accused of the felony of minor exposures and for the offense of perjury, appeared calm to the Court. Throughout the duration of her apology she called the father of her child Stanislaw Bakatsiev, first defendant.
She said Savvas was watching out his daughter, was not violent with her and never used drugs in front of her.
The accused said they met in 2009 when she first came to Greece and cohabited few months later. During their relationship the accused occasionally worked at various jobs while was working as a prostitute as she did. She gave birth to little Annie in Bulgaria and left the child with her parents to raise her.
Due to financial difficulties she was facing she went to Germany where she got involved with a man. Returning to Greece continued to work in brothels in order to take the child and go live in Germany. I wanted to quit this job and go to Germany, with the German who wanted to marry me and live all three together, she said.
In February 2015, the accused took Annie from her parents and brought her to Greece. She left the child to his father and went again to Germany. As she said, I was calling everything was OK. I was talking with her. I was always asking Annie if she had any complaint with her dad , she never told me anything.
The accused said she spoke with her daughter for the last time on April 7. When the next day asked for her, her companion told her that he had given the child to his mother to keep her. I came to Athens and told him to bring my child from his mother house. He told me to calm down and then he told me that the child disappeared. At first I thought he was joking. He said that on April 21 he woke up and the child was missing from the house.
She continued by saying: We went to Bulgaria to inform my parents, we stayed in a hotel and I was looking on the Internet for missing children. Then he told me to go to Greece. In the bus was telling me to be careful with the police, because they will take my child because of the work I did. Then I declared the disappearance at the Smile of Child and then to the police station.
She said that when she was told by the police that her partner had killed their child did not believe them. She thought he might pushed her and hit her or that Nikolai, the other accused, kidnapped the child.
She is now convinced that Annie was not found dead in bed as claimed in his defense her father, but was murdered.
At the end of her apology she lost her temper and broke into tears saying: I never wanted something bad to happen to Annie, and I wanted to give my life for my child.
